Enkel Step is a curated shop for shoes. A short list of styles, chosen to be worn in rather than replaced — sourced, described and shipped by people who have done this work before.
We would rather be trusted for a short list than noticed for a long one.
Choosing what to sell is the real work. The rest — the photographs, the sizing notes, the checkout — just has to be accurate and quick.
Too much choice, too little point of view
Finding one good pair of shoes should not mean scrolling through ten thousand near-identical sneakers, ranked by whoever paid most to sit at the top. Most of what is sold online is chosen because it is easy to sell, not because it is good to wear.
So we work the other way round. A short list. Each style is here because it fits, it is built to be worn often, and it will still look right after a few years on your feet. If we cannot say why something is in the shop, it does not go in.
The catalogue stays deliberately small, and it grows slowly. We would rather carry one style we stand behind than fifty we do not.
People who have done this before
The people running this shop have built and run businesses before — sourcing, logistics, customer service, and the unglamorous parts that decide whether an order actually turns up, in the size you ordered.
That experience does not make our taste better than yours. What it should buy you is a shop that answers its email, describes fit honestly, prices things plainly, and does not go quiet when something goes wrong.

Four rules we hold ourselves to
Chosen, not listed
Every style is picked by hand and has to earn its place. We look at how it is made, what it is made from, and how it will look after a few years of real wear. If we would not wear it ourselves, it is not in the shop.
Fewer, better
A small catalogue is harder to run and easier to trust. We would rather carry one good boot than nine variations of the same sneaker.
Longevity over trend
Plain shapes and honest materials date more slowly than a loud silhouette. We buy for the pair you will still reach for in a few years, not for what is being pushed this season.
Straight prices
The price on the product page is the price of the pair, VAT included. Shipping is shown before you pay, not after. No invented list price to discount from, and no countdowns.
