Retro Backless Mule Loafer

Open-back slip-on with a woven-texture vamp

A backless mule cut on a loafer last, with a metal bit across the vamp and a woven texture pressed into the toe. The open heel makes it a shoe you step into rather than put on, which is most of its appeal — it is light, it breathes, and it works indoors as easily as it does outside. The upper is microfibre rather than leather. It is lighter than leather and wipes clean, but it will not develop a patina the way a hide does. Runs true to size. If you are between sizes, take the larger — an open-backed shoe is more forgiving long than short.
